I entered the Folio Society competition, which tasked participants with designing an illustration based on a line from Neil Gaiman's story, ‘The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountain.’ My inspiration came from the line, "She said she would tell our fortunes from the lines in our palms, if we had coins to cross her palm." This concept merges the themes of fortune-telling and the characters' hike, resulting in a character-based illustration that captures the essence of the brief.
